About the event
In a four‑hour, hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to stitch a Sashiko tea towel while also engaging with the deeper cultural meaning behind the practice. Sashiko is often introduced in the United States as a decorative stitching technique, but its origins are rooted in Japanese mentality. Artist and educator mai ide guides participants through both the technical process and the cultural context.
